January 5, 2009 - The Jump allstars have had their fun, now it's time for their Shogakukan and Kodansha rivals psp.
Comic magazines Weekly Shounen Sunday and Weekly Shounen Magazine both turned fifty last year, and they're celebrating with a crossover fighter. Details were first shared in Japan over the holiday break.
The new Game, whose development was first disclosed early last year, is being developed and published for the psp by Konami . Details are scarce, but the game is said to feature one-on-one fighting Action with a simple control scheme, deep gameplay, and flashy psp special moves.
Your favorite characters from the two magazines will appear in the game. Currently confirmed licenses include Air Gear, Fairy Tail, Hajime no Ippo, Inu Yasha, Hayate no Gotoku, Kekkaishi, Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, and Zettai Karen Children. More properties will be announced as the game nears release.
Outside of a release date, the one thing missing is a title psp. For now, we're going to give the game a placeholder "Sunday X Magazine" name until Konami shares official details.
